Vision 2010

Vision 2010 is part of a strategic plan for Brother Rice High School that was developed in 2004 and is being implemented to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the school, in 2010.

Our school was dedicated October 29, 1960. During the 2010-11 school year, we will have a year-long celebration of the tradition of excellence that defines Brother Rice. The celebration will fucus on three primary areas:

  • The Past: Our tradition and history
  • The Present: Our standing as a premiere Catholic, college preparatory institution in Michigan
  • The Future: The next 50 years

Vision 2010 is our capital-improvement plan that will completely renovate the current facility for future generations. This plan and its implementation continue to be conducted as part of our ongoing Annual Fund efforts, which also support our faculty & staff (through Endowment) and our families (through tuition assistance).

In the past five years, we completed the following capital improvements:

  • A-wing classroom renovations (2008)
  • C-wing classroom renovations (2007)
  • Heating plant (2007)
  • Lahser Road entrance (2005)
  • Main hallway restroom renovations (2007)
  • Synthetic Turf football field (2006)
  • Synthetic Turf lacrosse/soccer field (2008)
  • Technology Infrastructure (2005-10)
